Video: Multiple Strikes Hit Iran: Tabriz-Zanjan Highway, Yahyaabad Bridge, and Kharg Island Targeted

Iranian state media reported on Tuesday that multiple infrastructure sites across the country were struck in separate attacks. Incidents occurred in the northwest, central regions, and along the Gulf coast.

A bridge on the Tabriz–Zanjan Highway in northwestern Iran was hit in an attack that Iranian media attributed to U.S. and Israeli forces. Officials did not provide immediate details on casualties or the extent of damage to the bridge.

In central Iran, state media reported a strike on the Yahyaabad railway bridge near Kashan. Authorities said the attack killed two people and injured three others. The information was confirmed by Isfahan province’s deputy governor. Security teams moved to secure the area and assess the structural integrity of the bridge.

Along the Gulf coast, Iranian media reported that Kharg Island was struck on Tuesday, with several explosions heard on the strategic island. The island serves as a hub for Iran’s oil exports. Officials have not independently verified the full extent of the damage or the impact on operations at the site.

Iranian authorities said they are monitoring all affected sites and coordinating inspections to prevent further incidents. Security teams remain deployed across these regions to manage access and assess risks to infrastructure.

The reported attacks come amid the ongoing escalation of strikes on Iranian infrastructure in multiple regions. Authorities said they will release further updates as assessments continue and more information becomes available.

IRGC Says It Targeted Saudi Petrochemical Facilities in Retaliation for Shiraz Strikes

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on April 7 that it carried out attacks on petrochemical facilities in the Jubail region, saying the strikes were in retaliation for earlier strikes on Iran’s petrochemical complex in Shiraz.

The IRGC said it targeted facilities in the Jubail industrial area using missiles and drones, including installations linked to American companies such as Sadra and ExxonMobil. It also said that it struck a complex in Juaymah associated with the American firm Shourdan Phillips. The group framed the operations as part of its response to attacks on Iranian infrastructure.

Reports from Iranian state media and allied sources said that explosions and fires occurred in the Jubail industrial zone following the strikes, and that Saudi air defenses had engaged incoming missiles and drones. Saudi authorities said they intercepted several ballistic missiles heading toward the Eastern Region, and that debris from interceptions fell near energy installations. The reported strikes in Jubail came amid ongoing conflict in the Middle East involving Iranian forces, the United States, and regional partners. The conflict has seen repeated exchanges of missile and drone fire, with Tehran warning it would hit back after attacks on its power and industrial sites.

Officials in Riyadh have not yet released a detailed statement on the results of the strikes claimed by the IRGC. Investigations and damage assessments were underway, and authorities continued to monitor security in the region.

Trump Criticizes NATO, Japan, Australia Over Lack of Support in Iran Conflict

Donald Trump on April 7 criticized allies including NATO, Japan, and Australia for not supporting United States operations linked to the conflict involving Iran.

Speaking at the White House, Trump said these countries did not assist in efforts related to the Strait of Hormuz and other military actions. He said the United States expected support from its allies during the operation.

Trump said that NATO did not take part in the response. He stated that the alliance did not contribute forces or resources during the conflict. He also said that Japan and Australia did not join United States operations.

Officials from Australia responded that the United States had not made a formal request for additional military involvement. They said Australia continues to focus on its own deployments and security measures.

Other allies have also not joined direct operations. Governments have maintained positions based on their policies and have limited their role to existing commitments.

The statements come as the United States continues military and diplomatic activity in the region. Discussions between governments are ongoing as the situation develops.

No joint military action involving these allies has been announced. Governments continue to review their positions while monitoring developments related to the conflict involving Iran and the United States.

Russian Strike Kills Three in Ukraine as Attacks Continue

A Russian strike killed three people on April 7 in Nikopol, according to officials in Ukraine. Authorities said a drone hit a city bus during morning travel hours and injured at least 12 others.

Officials reported that emergency services reached the site and transported the injured to hospitals. Local authorities said the strike damaged the bus and nearby infrastructure. Investigators recorded details of the attack and began assessment of the impact.

Ukrainian officials stated that Russian forces carried out strikes in other areas on the same day. Reports from Odesa said another attack killed three people and injured others. Authorities said these strikes targeted locations used by civilians.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that attacks continue across regions and called for support from partner countries. He said Ukraine needs assistance to respond to ongoing strikes and to protect infrastructure and civilians.

Officials stated that Russian forces have continued the use of drones and missiles in multiple regions. Local administrations reported damage to transport systems and residential areas following recent strikes.

No ceasefire agreement has been reached. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and respond to incidents as they occur.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine remains active, with strikes reported across several regions on April 7.

US Lawmakers Call for Trump’s Removal Under 25th Amendment

US lawmakers have called on Trump’s Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment of the Constitution and remove him from office, citing his threats to bomb civilian infrastructure in Iran as evidence of presidential unfitness. The calls follow Trump’s profanity-laden post on Easter Sunday threatening to demolish Iranian power plants and bridges if Tehran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday’s 8 p.m. deadline.

Arizona Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari said Trump is a national security threat and called his rhetoric deranged, questioning why the US strikes residential universities in a city of ten million people. Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar demanded impeachment and removal, describing Trump’s conduct as unhinged. New Mexico Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury urged both Congress and the Cabinet to act immediately. Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy told Cabinet members to spend Easter consulting constitutional lawyers over the amendment, warning that Trump has already killed thousands and will kill thousands more.

Former Republican Congressman Joe Walsh also backed the call, saying Trump will remain a permanent stain on the country and the world. The 25th Amendment allows the Vice President and a Cabinet majority to declare a president unfit for office, transferring power to the Vice President. The provision has never been used to remove a sitting president and its invocation remains highly unlikely given Republican support for Trump across Congress and the Cabinet.

Iran Tells India, “Our Friends Are in Safe Hands” Amid Hormuz Blockades

Iran’s Embassy in India posted a message on April 2, 2026, telling Indians they have nothing to fear amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia. “Our Indian friends are in safe hands, no worries,” the Embassy said in a post on X, signalling Tehran’s intent to keep India insulated from the disruptions it has imposed on the Strait of Hormuz.

The message came alongside a statement from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi that only Iran and Oman would determine the future of the Strait of Hormuz, firmly rejecting any notion of the waterway being reopened by outside military force. Reports also emerged on the same day that the IRGC has been charging vessels around $1 per barrel of oil for safe passage through the strait, with payments required in Chinese yuan or stablecoins such as USDT, bypassing US-dominated financial systems.

India has maintained a neutral stance throughout the war, which has served it well diplomatically. Tehran has designated India as a friendly nation and has allowed Indian-flagged vessels carrying crude oil, LPG, and LNG to transit the strait throughout the conflict. At least eight Indian vessels have exited the strait safely since the war began, including LPG carriers BW Tyger and BW Elm carrying a combined 94,000 tonnes of gas.

The assurance carries significance for India at a time when it sources around 50 percent of its energy imports through the Strait of Hormuz. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has engaged diplomatically with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the issue, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh confirmed on the same day that the Indian Navy has deployed ships to escort oil tankers through the waterway.

Despite Iran’s assurances to friendly nations, overall shipping traffic through the strait remains far below pre-war levels, with nearly 2,000 vessels still stranded on both sides of the chokepoint and global oil prices sitting above $108 per barrel.

Macron Says Trump Hollows Out NATO With “Daily Doubt” As He Calls Hormuz Force Option Unrealistic

French President Emmanuel Macron came out on April 2, 2026, with a pointed warning that President Donald Trump undermines NATO every time he casts doubt on America’s commitment to the alliance, while also firmly ruling out any military operation to force open the Strait of Hormuz.

Speaking to reporters during his state visit to Seoul, Macron said Trump’s repeated threats to pull the US out of NATO were doing lasting damage. “If you create daily doubt about your commitment, you hollow it out,” he said, adding there was “too much talk going off in all directions.”

On the Strait of Hormuz, Macron rejected the use of force as a solution. “There are those who advocate for the liberation of the Strait of Hormuz by force through a military operation, a position sometimes expressed by the United States,” he said. “It is unrealistic because it would take an inordinate amount of time and would expose anyone crossing the strait to coastal threats from the Revolutionary Guards, who possess significant resources, as well as ballistic missiles and a host of other risks.”

The remarks came after Trump called France “very unhelpful” over the Iran war and described NATO as a “paper tiger” while strongly considering withdrawal from the alliance. Macron had earlier in Japan praised Europe’s “predictability,” contrasting it with countries that “could hurt you without even informing you” — a reference to Washington launching the war on February 28 without notifying its European allies.
