In a defiant message broadcast by Iranian state media, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that what it described as “contradictory behavior” by U.S. President Donald Trump would not diminish Iran’s resolve on the war front would not affect their military strategy or readiness. While these exact comments are circulating on Iranian and aligned platforms, international news agencies have not independently verified the details of that specific quote at the time of writing., as the broader conflict between Iran and a U.S.–Israel coalition enters its fourth week the war with the United States and Israel, now entering its fourth week, shows no sign of slowing.
The conflict erupted on Feb. 28, 2026, after combined U.S.–Israeli airstrikes hit numerous Iranian military and security sites, in what Western officials called a pre‑emptive attempt to degrade Tehran’s military capacity. Iran has since responded with repeated long‑range missile and drone barrages including direct hits inside Israel and threats against U.S. bases in the region.
In a statement released on March 23 through Iranian state media, the IRGC warned that any further U.S. attack on Iran’s power grid would be met with proportional counter‑strikes on energy facilities in the region notably those supplying electricity to U.S. military bases. This message came after U.S. President Donald Trump had threatened strikes on Iranian power infrastructure including power plants if Iran failed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping within a 48‑hour deadline.
Iran’s official communication framed this warning as a continuation of “tit‑for‑tat retaliation”, underscoring Tehran’s posture that military rules of engagement will be determined by reciprocal actions rather than diplomatic signals.
Despite diplomatic overtures and extended deadlines, both sides remain entrenched in their positions.
