Jordan’s King Abdullah held talks with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in Amman on Wednesday, according to an official statement.
The statement said King Abdullah reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of the Israeli strike in Doha and affirmed support for Qatar. It added that the two leaders also condemned Israel’s expansion of ground operations in Gaza.
Earlier this week, King Abdullah attended an emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, where Gulf leaders said on Sept 15 that the security of their states was indivisible following Israel’s attack in Doha.
On Sept 9, an Israeli strike in Doha targeted leaders of Hamas, marking an escalation in the conflict that has continued since the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on Oct 7, 2023.
