A public memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk will take place on September 21 at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, which has a capacity of more than 60,000 people.
Turning Point USA, the organization Kirk co-founded, announced the event on social media and invited attendees to honor what it called his lasting influence.
Kirk, 31, was shot and killed last Wednesday while speaking at an outdoor event in Utah. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, surrendered to authorities on Thursday and was taken into custody.
U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are expected to attend the service. Rubio, who departed for Israel over the weekend, said he plans to return in time and described Kirk as an important figure for young conservatives.
Arizona holds significance for Kirk as the home of Turning Point USA’s headquarters and the state where he lived with his wife, Erika, and their two children.
On Saturday, Erika Kirk made her first public remarks following her husband’s death, vowing to continue his work. In a livestream from Turning Point USA headquarters, she pledged to uphold his mission and later shared tributes on social media.
