The leaders reviewed their countries’ progress on various fronts, including development, innovation, and emerging technologies, and affirmed their mutual commitment to enhancing strategic cooperation.
Ramgoolam expressed enthusiasm about deepening ties at the upcoming AI Impact Summit in India, where both nations will further explore cooperation in fields such as science, technology, and regional security. The two leaders also reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening the special, people-centric relationship between India and Mauritius, particularly in the Indian Ocean Region. This follows India’s extension of a Special Economic Package valued at over USD 680 million to Mauritius in September 2025.
