Newly disclosed emails from Jeffrey Epstein reveal that the late financier mentioned former U.S. President Donald Trump several times in private exchanges over the past 15 years, according to documents released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.

The messages, addressed to Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell and writer Michael Wolff, reportedly include claims that Trump spent time with a woman identified by committee Democrats as one of Epstein’s victims. In another exchange, Epstein allegedly wrote that Trump “knew about the girls,” referring to past remarks where Trump claimed he banned Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club for pursuing young employees.

The committee obtained the correspondence after subpoenaing Epstein’s estate earlier this year. Trump neither sent nor received any of the emails, most of which were written before his presidency. He has not been accused of any criminal involvement in Epstein’s or Maxwell’s activities.

Responding to the release, Trump’s team dismissed the contents as baseless, with press secretary Karoline Leavitt calling the issue a “hoax” and saying the messages “prove absolutely nothing.”
