Canadian police have arrested three Indian-origin truck drivers in connection with a shooting incident in Brampton, Ontario, linked to an ongoing tow-truck rivalry. Peel Regional Police said the violence involved two rival groups, both with members from the South Asian community.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Manjot Bhatti (26), Navjot Bhatti (26), and Amanjot Bhatti (22). They have been charged with multiple firearm-related offences following an altercation that took place on October 7 at around 10:45 pm. The incident occurred in a parking lot near McVean Drive and Castlemore Road, where firearms were discharged during a confrontation between the groups.

Police said one person sustained minor physical injuries in the incident. Investigators later executed a search warrant at a residence in Caledon on November 20, leading to the arrests.

Manjot Bhatti faces several serious charges, including reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a loaded restricted firearm, careless storage of a firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon. He was initially held for a bail hearing and has since been released on bail. Navjot and Amanjot Bhatti were charged with being occupants of a vehicle knowing a firearm was present and were released with conditions.

Police confirmed that one suspect remains at large and have appealed to the public for information to assist the ongoing investigation.
