At a memorial service in Arizona for conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, President Donald Trump emphasized that Kirk’s assassination would not change his political approach. Speaking at State Farm Stadium, Trump praised Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, as “a missionary with a noble spirit and a great, great purpose,” but also drew a sharp contrast between Kirk’s willingness to respect opponents and his own refusal to do so.

The service, marked by religious themes and tributes, included a notable moment when Erika Kirk forgave her husband’s killer. Trump, however, signaled that his response would focus on intensifying political confrontation. He pledged to crack down on what he described as “radical” left-wing groups, criticized the media and progressives, and repeated his disproven claims that the 2020 election was stolen.

Trump also previewed a forthcoming White House announcement on autism policy. His remarks aligned with those of senior adviser Stephen Miller, who delivered a similarly hardline message.

Kirk, 31, was a prominent conservative voice whose organization played a key role in mobilizing young supporters of the “Make America Great Again” movement. His death has raised concerns about political violence and its impact on public campaigning in the United States.
