U.S. Officials Claim Major Military Success in Iran Operation

Senior U.S. defense officials have reported significant military gains following a large-scale operation targeting Iran’s defense infrastructure. According to statements attributed to top officials, including General Caine and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, U.S. joint forces struck more than 13,000 targets during the campaign, referred to as “Operation Epic Fury.”

Officials claim that over 90% of Iran’s weapons factories and conventional naval fleet were destroyed, along with approximately 80% of its air defense systems. The Pentagon also stated that Iran’s missile program and broader defense industrial base have been “functionally destroyed” following hundreds of strikes conducted in a single night.

U.S. leadership described the operation as a decisive military victory achieved using less than 10% of its total combat power. Officials further asserted that Iran agreed to a ceasefire following the strikes, though they emphasized that the pause in hostilities remains conditional. U.S. forces are reportedly maintaining readiness to resume combat if necessary.

Additional statements indicated that key maritime routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, remain open, with assurances that commercial shipping will continue. U.S. officials also noted expectations for compliance with ceasefire terms and suggested ongoing monitoring of the situation in the region.
