Ukraine and Russia both reported shooting down each other’s drones during overnight clashes, though details about damage or casualties remain unclear.

Ukraine’s air force stated that Russia launched 113 drones, including around 70 Shahed models, targeting northern, southern, eastern, and central regions. Ukrainian forces reportedly intercepted or suppressed 89 of these drones. The air force confirmed 22 strikes by attack UAVs at six locations, with drone debris found at two sites, while two enemy drones remained airborne.

Conversely, Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed its air defenses destroyed 87 Ukrainian drones overnight. These interceptions occurred across multiple regions, including Kursk, Saratov, Rostov, Bryansk, Tula, Ryazan, Crimea, Volgograd, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, and above the Black Sea.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy further accused Russia of intensifying attacks, stating that Moscow has launched more than 3,500 drones and nearly 190 missiles against Ukraine so far this month.

The ongoing drone warfare highlights the escalating intensity and complexity of the conflict between the two nations, with both sides increasingly relying on unmanned aerial vehicles for strikes and defense.
