Video footage circulating online shows a US fighter jet falling from the sky and crashing near Kuwait City, raising concerns amid heightened regional tensions.
The footage, filmed from the western edge of the city near the Al Jahra area, appears to capture the moment an F-15 aircraft lost control before hitting the ground. Military officials later confirmed that three US F-15 fighter jets went down in Kuwait during the incident. The cause was described as an apparent friendly fire episode involving air defense systems.
According to the US military, all six crew members aboard the three aircraft managed to eject safely before impact.
