Congressional Democrats released a new set of previously unseen photographs from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on Thursday. The move comes just one day before the US Justice Department is required by law to release unclassified records related to its investigation into Epstein.

According to members of the House Oversight Committee, the images are part of a broader effort to improve public understanding of Epstein’s activities and the people connected to him. The newly disclosed batch includes photographs showing several high-profile individuals, including Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, political philosopher Noam Chomsky, and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon. Representatives for those individuals did not provide immediate responses.

The release contains 68 images drawn from a larger collection of about 95,000 photographs turned over by Epstein’s estate. Some images depict close-up excerpts from the book Lolita written across a woman’s body. Others show redacted identification documents belonging to women from multiple countries, as well as screenshots of text messages discussing the movement of girls and payments.

Committee members stated that the photos were chosen to offer a representative sample, while thousands more images remain under review. The White House said the disclosures do not change its position and emphasized its support for transparency.
