US President Donald Trump has blamed Democratic leadership for the deaths of two Americans during a federal immigration crackdown in Minneapolis. He argues that local Democratic leaders’ refusal to cooperate with immigration enforcement agencies made communities unsafe.
Trump criticized the response to the deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, both killed during “Operation Metro Surge.” He claimed that the Democrats’ stance on immigration contributed to the tragic incidents. Trump compared the outcomes in Republican-run states, where cooperation with ICE resulted in arrests without unrest, to what he called the disorder in Democrat-run sanctuary cities. He also mentioned that during the previous administration, millions of undocumented immigrants had entered the US.
Trump highlighted the cooperation between local police and federal immigration authorities in Republican states, where efforts led to numerous arrests without protests. In contrast, he criticized Democratic states for obstructing law enforcement and prioritizing undocumented immigrants over citizens. He reiterated his commitment to strengthen immigration laws to protect Americans.
