Trump Shares US Navy Video, Warns Ships to ‘Discontinue Transit to Iran’

US President Donald Trump has shared a video from the United States Navy warning vessels to “discontinue transit to Iran” as Washington intensifies enforcement of its maritime blockade.

The video, posted on Trump’s Truth Social platform, shows US naval operations in the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters, reinforcing instructions to ships to avoid traveling to or from Iranian ports.

The warning forms part of a broader US naval blockade imposed after the collapse of peace talks with Iran in Islamabad. The blockade targets vessels linked to Iranian trade, particularly oil shipments, while allowing passage for ships heading to non-Iranian destinations.

US Central Command has issued direct communications to ships in the region, instructing them to turn back or face interception. Officials have stated that non-compliance could result in boarding, diversion, or seizure by US naval forces.

Since the blockade began, several vessels have altered course or returned to port after receiving warnings. US military officials said multiple ships complied within the first 24–48 hours of enforcement.

The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical global energy route, and the blockade has disrupted shipping flows and raised concerns over oil supply and maritime security.

The move marks a further escalation in the conflict involving the United States, Iran, and regional actors, as military pressure continues alongside ongoing diplomatic efforts.
