Trump’s Truth Social to Introduce Real-World Betting Through Partnership With Crypto.com

Truth Social, the social media platform founded by U.S. President Donald Trump, announced Tuesday that it will soon allow users to place bets on real-world events directly through the app. The new feature will be launched in partnership with Crypto.com, enabling users to wager on a wide range of outcomes — from elections and economic indicators such as interest rates and inflation, to commodity prices like gold and crude oil, as well as major sports events.

The initiative marks the latest move by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) to expand its business portfolio. The company is tapping into the rapidly growing “prediction market” sector, which allows users to purchase contracts tied to specific outcomes. These markets are overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), rather than state gambling regulators, as they are treated as financial instruments rather than traditional gambling.

The sector’s growth has attracted significant investment — including a recent $2 billion infusion by Intercontinental Exchange, operator of the New York Stock Exchange, into Polymarket, a major prediction platform.

Despite the expansion, TMTG reported limited financial results earlier this year, with only $1.7 million in revenue and a net loss of $51.7 million in the first half of 2025.
