Fatima Bosch of Mexico has been crowned Miss Universe 2025, marking a memorable win after a highly eventful pageant. She was followed by Praveenar Singh of Thailand as first runner-up, Stephany Abasali of Venezuela, Ma. Ahtisa Manalo of the Philippines, and Olivia Yace of Côte d’Ivoire completing the top five. The announcement celebrated Bosch as a new global ambassador whose presence stood out throughout the competition.
Her victory comes in the backdrop of a controversy that unfolded during the event. Bosch, along with several contestants, walked out after a disagreement regarding promotional expectations for the host country. A tense exchange with the national director from Thailand escalated the situation before an apology resolved the issue. Despite this, Bosch returned to compete and ultimately secured the crown.

At 25, Bosch is a fashion designer educated in the US and Italy. Diagnosed early with dyslexia and ADHD, she has been vocal about resilience and inclusivity. She is also known for her work in sustainable fashion and her volunteer efforts supporting children with cancer in Tabasco.

As Miss Universe, Bosch will receive $250,000 in prize money, a $50,000 annual salary for official duties, accommodation in New York City, and the prestigious crown valued at over $5 million. She becomes the fourth Mexican winner in the pageant’s history.
