Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump told CNN that Israeli forces could resume fighting in Gaza “as soon as I say the word” if Hamas fails to uphold the ceasefire agreement, which includes disarmament. However, two senior US advisers clarified that the US does not consider Hamas to be violating the ceasefire by not producing the remains of hostages.
In a related development, the bodies of 90 Palestinians previously held by Israel during the conflict have been returned to Gaza. Hospital officials reported that the bodies arrived with their hands and legs cuffed, marked with numbers rather than names.
