North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has sent warm birthday greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin on his 73rd birthday, reaffirming the strong alliance between Pyongyang and Moscow. According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim expressed confidence that the “eternal friendship” and close ties between the two countries will continue to thrive.
Kim highlighted the importance of their alliance, stating that it will contribute significantly to the development of bilateral relations and the establishment of a “just and multi-polarized world order.” He assured Putin of North Korea’s unwavering support in Russia’s “just struggle” to defend its national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security interests.
The North Korean leader also emphasized his country’s commitment to the inter-state treaty between the DPRK and Russia, calling it a “fraternal duty” that Pyongyang intends to uphold.
“Pyongyang and Moscow will always stand together and our friendship will be immortal,” Kim concluded.
The Kremlin confirmed that numerous international phone calls are scheduled for Putin’s birthday on October 7, reflecting his continued global prominence.
