Pakistan has said that recent diplomatic visits by its top leadership form part of broader efforts to promote regional peace and de-escalation.
The Foreign Ministry stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visits to countries including Saudi Arabia and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir’s trip to Iran are aligned with “collective efforts” aimed at reducing tensions in the region.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan is receiving recognition for its diplomatic engagement in supporting ceasefire efforts and promoting stability between the United States and Iran.
He stated that Pakistan has encouraged dialogue between the two sides, facilitated exchanges of messages, and helped create conditions for negotiations, including the recent talks held in Islamabad.
The remarks come as Pakistan continues to position itself as a mediator in ongoing tensions involving Iran and the United States. Officials said diplomatic engagement remains focused on sustaining ceasefire arrangements and advancing discussions toward a broader agreement.
Pakistan’s role has gained attention following its involvement in hosting and facilitating recent negotiations, as regional and global actors continue efforts to reduce conflict and maintain stability.
