Questions Raised Over Missing FBI Interviews in Epstein File Release

More than 90 FBI witness interview records appear to be missing from recently released Epstein investigation files, raising questions about the completeness of the Justice Department’s disclosure.

An evidence log shared with legal representatives of Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell lists around 325 FBI witness interview records. However, over a quarter of those entries do not currently appear on the Justice Department’s public website. Among the records not visible are three interviews linked to a woman who reported that she was abused by Jeffrey Epstein beginning at about age 13 and who also accused President Donald Trump of sexual assault decades ago.

A Democratic member of the House Oversight Committee said the apparent absence of these files raises concerns about whether all legally required documents were published. The lawmaker noted that the missing interviews may contain important testimony connected to serious allegations.

President Trump has denied any wrongdoing related to Epstein. The White House described the accusations as false and sensationalist, referencing a prior Justice Department statement that some materials included unverified claims.

A Justice Department spokesperson said no documents were deleted and that all responsive materials were produced. According to the department, some files were excluded because they were duplicates, privileged, or part of ongoing investigations. Officials also stated that certain documents had been temporarily removed for redactions and later restored. Some victims have reported difficulty locating their own interview records in the released files.
