A man in Spring, Texas, died early Monday morning after becoming stuck upside-down inside a clothing donation box behind a shopping center. According to police, the man called 911 around 1:30 a.m., gasping that he could not breathe. Deputies and emergency responders arrived within minutes but were unable to save him.
Authorities said the man became stuck in an awkward position that restricted his breathing. While the exact reason he entered the donation box is unknown, officials said he may have been homeless. Police urged the public to avoid climbing into these containers, noting that their design makes access dangerous and potentially fatal.

The clothing box is operated by Arms for Hope, a Christian nonprofit, which expressed condolences to the manโs family. The organization said it was aware of the incident and shared its sympathies with those affected.
This tragedy follows similar deaths reported in recent years. In August, a woman died in California after getting her head stuck in a donation box, and another woman in Florida died after becoming partially trapped while trying to retrieve items.
Authorities continue to investigate the Texas incident, emphasizing the risks posed by entering donation bins.
