Around 100 Flights Expected From UAE to India as Evacuation Efforts Continue

Around 100 flights are expected to operate from the United Arab Emirates to India on Wednesday as airlines continue limited services amid ongoing regional disruptions, officials said.

The operations are part of coordinated efforts by Indian authorities to facilitate the return of Indian nationals from affected areas, including Iraq, Iran, and Israel.

According to Ministry of External Affairs updates, flights are being operated on a non-scheduled basis from multiple Gulf hubs, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Airlines are adjusting schedules based on airspace availability and security conditions.

Officials said the movement of passengers also includes coordinated evacuation and transit arrangements from conflict-affected countries such as Iran, Iraq, and Israel, where Indian missions are assisting citizens through alternative routes.

Earlier reports from the MEA indicated that hundreds of thousands of Indian nationals have already returned from West Asia since late February as part of ongoing repatriation and assisted travel efforts.

The UAE remains one of the main transit points, with airlines maintaining partial operations despite regional airspace restrictions. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and adjust flight schedules depending on safety assessments.

The ongoing conflict in the region has disrupted regular aviation routes, forcing governments and airlines to rely on special flights and rerouted corridors to ensure continued movement of passengers.
