A man jumped from an upper floor of the Grand Mosque, also known as Masjid Al Haram, in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, prompting a swift response from the mosqueโ€™s security forces. The Special Force for the Security of the Grand Mosque stated that the incident involved a person attempting to take his own life. In their official statement, the authorities emphasized the prompt action taken to ensure both the safety of the individual and the security officer, highlighting the rapid intervention and transfer for medical treatment.

Sheikh Dr. Abdur Rahman As Sudais, Chief Imam of the Grand Mosque, addressed the incident, urging pilgrims to respect the sanctity of the mosque, adhere to regulations, and maintain proper Islamic conduct. He also emphasized the importance of preserving life, referencing Islamic teachings that forbid self-harm.

The authorities continue to monitor the situation, ensuring the safety and well-being of all visitors while reinforcing the importance of following mosque guidelines.
